We are looking for a Principal Engineer – Hardware / Technical Architect to join our design and development team. This role involves working on advanced hardware solutions in energy management and smart metering technology, contributing to innovative and high-performance product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and interpret product requirement specifications
- Support upfront technical architecture and high-level hardware design
- Ensure design alignment with manufacturability, reliability, performance, serviceability, cost, and features
- Collaborate with design engineers to develop analog and digital circuits
- Ensure designs meet functional, ergonomic, manufacturability, and testability requirements
- Maintain and improve development systems and processes
- Manage project execution and ensure timely delivery
Technical Skills Required
- Strong experience in analog circuit design (ADC selection, AC signal measurement, transistors, op-amps)
- Expertise in Microcontroller selection and peripheral utilization
- Power supply design experience: SMPS, DC/DC converters, LDOs
- Hands-on experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability)
- PCB design with EMI/EMC compliance considerations
- Strong component selection skills (op-amps, MCU, power switches, diodes, capacitors, etc.)
- Knowledge of quality tools: 8D, FMECA, CAPA, Why-Why analysis
- Understanding of part reliability and product reliability
- RF design exposure (preferred for RF projects)
- Working knowledge of IEC / FCC safety and EMI/EMC standards
