Job Description for Hardware Design Engineer (Power Electronics)
Location: Bangalore
Experience in Yrs. : 0 to 5 years for M Tech/ 2-7 Years for B Tech.
About the Role :- Xeedo is Hiring for M.Tech Freshers (Power Electronics/Electrical Engineering) and B.Tech professionals looking for short-term opportunities to contribute to the development of advanced embedded power electronics products.
The selected candidate will support hardware design, power converter development, prototype bring-up, testing, validation, and engineering documentation under the guidance of experienced design engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design and development of DC-DC converters and battery charging hardware.
- Create and review circuit schematics.
- Assist in PCB layout reviews focusing on power, thermal, grounding, and EMI considerations.
- Participate in prototype assembly, bring-up, debugging, and validation.
- Conduct testing using oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and other laboratory equipment.
- Analyze efficiency, thermal performance, and protection behavior of power converter designs.
- Support component selection, BOM creation, test plans, and design documentation.
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and system engineering teams.
Desired Qualifications
- M.Tech (Freshers encouraged to apply) in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Energy Systems, or related disciplines.
- B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with relevant project, internship, or industry experience.
Good understanding of:
- Buck, Boost, Buck-Boost, Flyback, and battery charging topologies
- MOSFET, GaN, and SiC power devices
- Magnetics, current sensing, and protection circuits
- Control loops and compensation fundamentals
- Familiarity with Altium Designer, OrCAD, Cadence Allegro, KiCad, or similar schematic design tools.
- Basic knowledge of power electronics PCB layout practices.
- Hands-on exposure through academic projects, internships, research work, or prior employment is desirable.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical documentation skills.
M.Tech freshers with academic projects experience in Power Electronics and B.Tech candidates with relevant internship/project experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
