Role Description This full-time, on-site Hardware Design Engineer role is based in Ahmedabad. The Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing electronic hardware, including schematics, PCB layouts, and circuit-level solutions for embedded and connected products. Day-to-day activities include translating system requirements into hardware architectures, component selection and evaluation, simulation and analysis, and supporting firmware and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration. The role also involves creating design documentation, participating in design reviews, collaborating with manufacturing teams for prototyping and production, and performing hardware testing, validation, and debugging. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, safety, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Hardware Development and Hardware Design for embedded and electronic systems.
- Proficiency in Electronics Hardware Design and Circuit Design, including schematic capture and PCB design tools.
- Experience in defining and implementing Hardware Architecture for complex, connected, or IoT-based products.
- Solid understanding of analog and digital electronics, power supply design, signal integrity, and EMC/EMI considerations.
- Ability to conduct hardware testing, validation, and debugging using standard lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.).
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM), design for testability (DFT), and collaboration with PCB fabrication and assembly partners.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering team on-site in Ahmedabad.
