What’s the position?

• Develop, execute, and maintain JavaScript-based performance tests using the Grafana K6 framework to simulate high load on Hard Rock Bet web applications.
• Leverage Shell scripting to automate complex test workflows and support performance testing.
• Maintain and run Python-based Locust scripts during the transition to K6, and gradually phase them out.
• Create and manage test data to support load testing scenarios This may include some SQL queries and basic DB knowledge.
• Develop and manage automated tasks and workflows using Rundeck and TeamCity.
• Install, configure, and manage performance testing tools as needed.
• Analyze test results, track metrics, and generate status reports to inform stakeholders.
• Investigate failures, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
• Optimize test scripts for better efficiency and scalability.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate with developers, QA analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders to gather test requirements and align on priorities.
• Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in best practices for load testing and automation.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure test scripts meet quality and coding standards.
• Become a subject matter expert on the application and its performance characteristics.

Workflow & Process

• Work on multiple tasks simultaneously, effectively managing priorities.
• Attend all scheduled meetings promptly and contribute meaningfully.
• Follow Kanban Agile methodology to track and manage tasks.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, new tools, and best practices to continuously enhance the testing process.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a seasoned Senior JavaScript Developer who’s passionate about automation, quality, and driving results. You’re someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, balances precision with pragmatism, and understands how to translate technical expertise into reliable, scalable solutions.

You have at least 5 years of hands-on experience with JavaScript, particularly in automation contexts, and are comfortable taking ownership of complex testing strategies. Your background includes backend API test automation (a big plus), and you bring strong Python skills to the table, enabling you to craft efficient, maintainable test scripts with confidence.

You have a deep understanding of the mobile ecosystem—from operating systems like iOS and Android to the full app development lifecycle—and are equally comfortable navigating web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. You know your way around browser dev tools and debugging workflows.

Collaboration is second nature to you. You work well within Git-based version control environments and have experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring your work supports a streamlined delivery process. Your understanding of QA methodologies and best practices runs deep, and you know how to apply them to maintain a high bar for quality.
