Harbor Care is seeking Support Staff – Group Homes – Full-time to join our team in Nashua, NH. In this role, you will support residents living in a structured group home environment, helping to ensure safety, stability, and dignity for individuals with mental health and other supportive care needs.
As part of a mission-driven nonprofit, you’ll contribute to Harbor Care’s commitment to providing housing, healthcare, and wraparound services that empower individuals to live stable, healthy lives.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will assist residents with daily routines, support medication administration (after certification), respond to emergent situations, and help maintain a safe and respectful living environment.
Schedule & Compensation:
- 1st Shift: $17/hour (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
- 2nd Shift: $18/hour (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
- 3rd Shift: $19/hour (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- $1,000 Sign-On Bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents
- Support daily routines and structured living environment
- Administer medications after required training and certification
- Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow protocols
- Communicate and report incidents or concerns to leadership
- Assist with documentation, data entry, and file maintenance
- Support residents in accessing community services and appointments
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and team collaboration
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to complete medication training and become certified
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professional boundaries
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with interruptions and changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field
- Experience in residential care, behavioral health, or human services
- Knowledge of mental health conditions and treatment approaches
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to respond effectively in crisis or emergency situations
- Ability to assist residents with transportation to community services
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks and administrative duties
