Role Description The Handbag Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing new handbag collections that reflect MIRAGGIO’s brand identity and evolving fashion trends. Day-to-day tasks include creating sketches and technical drawings, selecting materials and trims, collaborating with sampling and production teams, and refining designs based on fit, functionality, and feedback. The designer will work closely with cross-functional teams such as merchandising and marketing to ensure cohesive product stories and timely collection launches. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram, requiring regular presence in the design studio and coordination with suppliers and manufacturers.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion, with proven experience in accessory or handbag design.
- Knowledge of Textiles, materials selection, and fabric behavior suitable for premium handbags.
- Skills in Embroidery and surface ornamentation for detailing and embellishment on handbag designs.
- Understanding of Fitting, construction, and functional aspects of handbags, including hardware and finishing.
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD) and hand sketching.
- Diploma or degree in Fashion Design or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Attention to detail, strong aesthetic sense, and ability to translate trends into commercial yet distinctive designs.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
