JOB DESCRIPTION
DATA AND REPORTING SPECIALIST
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (education, data administration, etc.) required
- Demonstrate experience in data operations platforms (SIS, ERP, CRM etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage in public speaking and instruction
- Proficient in conducting effective staff training to support the educational mission of the organization
- Strong problem-solving skills related to data integration, and state/federal agency reporting requirements
- Ability to understand and meet strict deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of productivity software like Word/Docs and Excel/Sheets
- Familiarity with cloud collaboration tools like SharePoint and Teams
JOB GOAL:
- To support the HSE Data Team in timely and accurate state and federal reporting, and support and educate staff in the use of the Student Information System
TERMS:
REPORTS TO:
- Academic Achievement and Analytics Officer
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support for the Student Information System (SIS)
- Lead the charge on accurate state and federal reporting requirements
- Maintain understanding of ever-changing state reporting and accountability requirements
- Network and collaborate with other school districts and state personnel to share and identify best practices in state reporting and compliance
- Develop and deliver staff training on data entry, cleanliness and compliance with state and federal reporting requirements
- Create and maintain data queries, and reports to meet the needs of administrators, staff, and government requirements
- Meet internal, state, and federal compliance reporting deadlines accurately and on time
- Document all processes and procedures, including those related to the tasks mentioned above
- Ensure and maintain student data privacy in compliance with FERPA regulations
- Perform additional and/or alternative duties as assigned by the Academic Achievement and Analytics Officer
