Required Technical Skill Set
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Hadoop development
- Knowledge of HDFS
- Experience with Hive
- Handson experience with Spark
- Experience with Sqoop
- Experience with Flume
- Experience with Oozie
- Unix scripting knowledge
- Experience with Autosys
- Handson experience in Spark framework, Unix scripting, Hive queries, and writing UDFs in Hive
- Understanding of basic programming languages or relevant skills
- Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Project Development Lifecycle
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior team members for requirements gathering and design
- Assist in the development and implementation of data processing frameworks based on Spark with Java
- Work with other team members to ensure project deadlines are met
- Conduct research and development to improve relevant processes or technologies
- Participate in team meetings to discuss project updates and progress
MustHave Skills
- Good understanding of Hadoop concepts including file system and MapReduce
- Handson experience with Spark framework, Unix scripting, Hive queries, and writing UDFs in Hive (theoretical knowledge and POCs alone will not suffice)
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and PDLC
- Ability to work independently with strong debugging skills in Hive and Spark
- Experience in developing largescale systems
- Experience in debugging and performance tuning
- Strong software design skills
- Good communication skills and ability to work with client partners
GoodtoHave Skills
- Experience in Banking and Finance domain
- Experience with Agile methodology
- Knowledge of job scheduling tools like Autosys
- Knowledge of Kafka
