Hadco Metal Trading Company is looking for an experienced Inside Sales Specialist with a solid understanding of the engineering grade plastics or metals industry to join our sales team in La Mirada, CA. Hadco is a growth-focused metal distributin company. Our customers include OEMs, fabricators, machine shops, and contractors who rely on us for consistent supply, competitive pricing, and responsible service.
Requirements
Inside Sales Responsibilities
- Knowledge & understanding of engineering grade plastic materials or metals industry
- Prepare, issue, and follow up on quotes for assigned accounts
- Previous experience in direct customer interaction in a sales capacity
- Highly developed organizational & communication skills
- Confidence to make important & thoughtful decisions
- Process orders accurately and efficiently through the ERP system
- Communicate daily with customers regarding pricing, availability, lead times, and deliveries
- Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and warehouse teams
- Participate in outbound call campaigns and account development efforts
- Track customer activity, opportunities, and follow-ups in CRM
- Learn metal products, grades, applications, and market pricing trends
- Contribute ideas to improve pod performance, efficiency, and customer experience
- Gradual ownership of accounts and responsibilities as performance increases
Minimum Requirements/Required Skills
- Must be able to work full-time, on-site in La Mirada, CA (M-F 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- 1+ years of sales, customer service, or industry experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable speaking with customers on the phone and via email
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
- Ability to learn technical product information
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook); ERP/CRM experience is a plus
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a sales career
