Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE 2)

As an SDE 2 at Habuild, you will be instrumental in designing and developing scalable, highly intuitive product experiences. You'll work on key features that enhance our platform's reliability and efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence. This role requires a strong team player with a commitment to quality and innovation. You'll take ownership of critical projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to a dynamic, mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Strategize, lead, and optimize the product roadmap, implementing it with high speed and accuracy. Regularly communicate with stakeholders, project managers, quality assurance teams, and other developers regarding progress on the long-term technology roadmap. Recommend system solutions by evaluating the pros & cons of custom development versus off-the-shelf alternatives. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while troubleshooting and optimizing systems for performance and reliability. Produce quality code, raising the bar for the whole team on quality and speed. Maintain clear documentation and workflows to enhance team collaboration and workload management. Develop and oversee testing schedules in a client-server environment, addressing all browsers and devices to ensure various devices display the desired content. Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and innovation. Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends. Requirements: Proficient in Node.js, JavaScript, Postgres, AWS, and Redis. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to documentation. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team. Experience in mentoring junior engineers and fostering a collaborative team environment. 3+ years of relevant work experience in software development.
