Job Description: Guidewire Policy Center – Rating Specialist
Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled
Guidewire Policy Center – Rating Specialist with strong technical expertise in Guidewire Rating components and hands-on experience in Commercial Lines. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with business and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and enhance Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating components to meet business needs.
- Work closely with Business Analysts, QA teams, and Clients to gather requirements, clarify functionality, and resolve issues across workstreams.
- Design, configure, and maintain Ratebooks, Rate Routines, Rate Tables, and related rating logic.
- Utilize strong conceptual and analytical skills to troubleshoot complex rating and configuration challenges.
- Ensure alignment with Guidewire OOTB PolicyCenter product behavior while implementing custom configurations where required.
- Support testing activities, defect resolution, and production support related to rating and product configuration.
- Participate in design discussions and provide technical guidance on Guidewire best practices.
Required Technical Skills - Strong proficiency in Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating technical concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Guidewire components including:
- Data Models
- Product Models
- Ratebook
- Rate Routines
- Rate Tables
- Rating Engine
- Solid understanding of Guidewire OOTB PolicyCenter functionality and product behavior.
- Working experience in Commercial Lines insurance.
- Knowledge of Guidewire SBT Rating.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Effective communication skills for client and stakeholder interaction.
- Ability to collaborate efficiently across multiple workstreams and teams.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in large-scale Guidewire implementation or upgrade projects.
- Exposure to end-to-end Policy Center development lifecycle including configuration, testing, and support.
Experience – 5 to 7 years
