About Benne – Heritage Bangalore Dosa
Akhil and Shriya, a filmmaker and a psychologist, shared a deep love for dosas. Missing the iconic Bangalore-style dosa in Mumbai, they embarked on a quest to recreate their childhood favorite. After perfecting the recipe, they realized that the secret to a great dosa lies not just in the simple ingredients, but in the honor, respect, and care invested in its making.

What You’ll Do
Guest Experience & Service
- Greet guests warmly and ensure a positive first impression
- Guide guests through the menu, answer questions, and offer thoughtful recommendations
- Accurately take orders on POS and communicate special requests clearly to the kitchen
- Stay attentive during peak hours to ensure smooth service flow and minimal wait times
Dine-in & Floor Coordination
- Manage seating, table turnover, and dining area readiness
- Coordinate with the kitchen to track orders and ensure timely service
- Communicate wait times clearly and manage guest expectations
Service Recovery & Feedback
- Resolve minor guest concerns with empathy and confidence
- Escalate critical issues when needed and maintain calm under pressure
- Capture guest feedback, compliments, and observations for improvement
Ambience & FOH Standards
- Maintain cleanliness, organisation, and stocking of all guest-facing areas
- Ensure music, lighting, and overall ambience align with the brand experience
Teamwork & Culture
- Act as a bridge between guests and the kitchen team
- Support FOH teammates during rush hours and shift changes
- Lead by example in professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication and people skills
- A natural sense of hospitality and problem-solving
- Ability to stay composed and efficient in fast-paced environments
- Prior FOH or guest-facing experience preferred
