Security Guard

Key responsibilities include: Provide exceptional customer service and sustain effective relationships with clients and patrons. Conduct regular patrols to ensure the premises remains secure and free of unauthorized activities and individuals. Perform routine checks and patrols to maintain a visible security presence. React promptly and effectively to security alarms, incidents, or emergencies providing top quality service. Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and incident response. Assist to assist with fire alarms and medical incidents. Escalate high risk incidents to Security Supervisor. Assist Center tenants with suspicious individuals. Assist store's Loss Prevention Officers to deal with escalated situations. Assist Center tenants with safety related concerns. Escalating health and safety issues to the client. Assist with third - party contractors access control. Assist with parking enforcement. What you should have: Valid British Columbia Security license. Valid OFA 1 certificate. Valid AST or Use Of Force certificate. At least 6 months of security experience. Must be confident in verbal conflict de-escalation. Proficient in the English language (verbal & written) Ability to patrol for long hours. Demonstrate strong observation and communication skills. Ability to create high-quality detailed incident reports. Flexible availability including weekends and overnights. Demonstrate confident de-escalation skills. Ability to respond to emergency situations in a calm demeanour. Ability to perform job-related assigned tasks. Able to act in accordance with organization's policies and procedures. Ability to deal with trespassers and de-escalate situations.
