About Hyring
Hyring is an AI-powered hiring platform. We help companies screen, interview and shortlist candidates faster, so recruiters spend time on the right people instead of resumes. We're a fast-moving startup in Chennai, building for HR and talent teams in India and globally.
About the role
You will find the companies and people who need Hyring most, and hand our sales team leads that are ready to contact. This is a research-first role. You dig into hiring signals, build clean prospect lists, and work out which segments convert best. Good leads from you mean more demos and more revenue for us.
What you'll do
- Define and refine our ideal customer profile (ICP): industries, company sizes, hiring volume and buyer roles (HR heads, TA leads, recruiters, founders).
- Research target accounts using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Crunchbase, job boards and company websites.
- Track hiring signals: companies with many open roles, new funding, expansion into new cities, or recent HR leadership changes.
- Build and enrich prospect lists with verified names, titles, emails, phone numbers and LinkedIn URLs.
- Keep lead data clean in the CRM (HubSpot, Zoho or similar): no duplicates, correct fields, tagged by segment.
- Score and prioritise leads so sales reaches the warmest accounts first.
- Write short account notes that give sales a reason to reach out (pain points, hiring trends, recent news).
- Test new lead sources and channels, such as communities, events, job portals and partner lists, and report what works.
- Support outbound campaigns with personalised research for email and LinkedIn sequences.
- Share a weekly report on leads delivered, quality, conversion to meetings, and new insights.
What we're looking for
- 1–4 years in lead generation, sales research, market research or SDR support, preferably in B2B SaaS.
- Hands-on with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and at least one data tool (Apollo, Lusha, ZoomInfo, Hunter or similar).
- Strong Google Sheets / Excel skills: filters, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivots, de-duplication.
- Very detail-oriented. You care about bounce rates and wrong titles.
- Curious researcher who can quickly work out what a company does and whether it fits.
- Clear written English for notes and reports.
- Self-driven. You can own a weekly target without daily follow-up.
Nice to have
- Experience selling to or researching HR, TA or recruitment teams.
- Familiarity with HubSpot, Zoho CRM or Salesforce.
- Experience with Clay, PhantomBuster, or scraping/automation tools.
- Using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) to speed up research and personalisation.
- Knowledge of US or global markets for international lead lists.
