About the role:
We are looking for a Growth & Retention Manager to become the internal data-and-experiments engine of the business - someone who deeply understands customer behaviour, identifies where users drop off in the funnel, and runs structured experiments to improve conversion and retention.
This role is highly analytical and execution-focused. You will spend significant time working with funnel analytics, cohort dashboards, A/B test learnings, lifecycle flows, pricing experiments, and customer segmentation. You’ll work cross-functionally with performance marketing, content, CRM, and product teams to continuously improve customer acquisition efficiency and repeat purchase behaviour.
Specifically, this role will involve:
- Funnel ownership — Map and own complete acquisition-to-retention funnel. Identify every drop-off point. Quantify the leakage. Propose specific experiments to plug them.
- CRO experiments — Run A/B tests on landing pages, product pages, cart, checkout, pricing tiers, and bundles. Target: minimum 4 live experiments at any given time. Track learnings rigorously.
- Retention analytics — Build and maintain cohort dashboards. Track Month 1 / Month 2 / Month 3 repeat rates by acquisition channel, by SKU, by customer segment.
- Lifecycle optimisation — Work on optimising WhatsApp/email/SMS flows. Test timing, copy, offers, frequency.
- Pricing & bundle experimentation — Test pricing tiers, bundle compositions, first-time buyer offers, subscription pricing. Find price points that maximise both conversion and AOV.
- Cross-sell strategy — Design and run experiments around cross-sell.
Ideal candidate will have:
- 3–5 years in growth, retention, CRO roles at a D2C brand or e-commerce strongly preferred
- Strong analytical foundation — comfortable in SQL, Google Sheets/Excel power user, cohort analysis is second nature. Engineering, finance, or consulting backgrounds often translate well.
- CRO experience with proof — should be able to walk us through 3 specific A/B tests they've run: hypothesis, design, result, learning. We will ask in detail.
- Retention literacy — has worked closely with CRM/lifecycle marketing even if not the primary owner. Understands cohort thinking, churn analysis, RFM segmentation.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field preferred
