Read this part first
Most growth roles are spreadsheets and dashboards.
This one is not.
This is a role for someone who can write the LinkedIn post, design the Reel, build the landing page, set up the email flow, read the analytics, and talk to a vet partner. All of it. With their own hands.
If you need a team under you to do the work, this is not your role. If you are the person who makes the work, keep reading.
What Omelo is
A vet sees your pet for 15 minutes a year. That leaves 363 days where you are the only one watching.
Omelo is the daily clinical companion for those 363 days. An AI that reasons like a vet, built with practicing veterinarians, that knows your specific animal โ not pets in general. When something feels off at 11pm and the clinic is closed, Omelo turns "is this serious?" into a clear next step in 60 seconds.
It was built by a founder who lost two dogs to parvo on a night the clinics were closed. The mission is simple: clinical clarity for every pet parent, regardless of where they live, what they earn, or what language they speak.
We are live in 15+ countries. 100,000+ health conversations. $0 spent on paid acquisition so far.
That last number is why this role exists.
What you will own
You are the entire growth and marketing function. Day one.
- The content engine across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and YouTube
- The founder's content and thought leadership
- The influencer program (we have early templates, you build the machine)
- The email lifecycle โ welcome, retention, re-engagement, win-back
- The landing pages, the funnels, the conversion optimization
- The app store presence and ASO
- Paid acquisition when we are ready to turn it on
- The analytics that tell us what is working and what to kill
- The launch moments โ PawSight, new features, press
You will not manage a team. You will be the team. Until your work earns the budget to build one. Then you lead it.
What you must be
A maker, not a manager. You open Figma, CapCut, Framer, Customer.io yourself. You do not brief other people to make your ideas real. You make them real.
A person with taste. This is the part most growth marketers do not have. You look at a competitor's campaign and instinctively know how to beat it. Your own social presence makes people stop scrolling. Taste is the thing we cannot teach and the thing we are hiring for.
Someone who feels this. You are a pet parent, or you have felt the 11pm helplessness of not knowing what is wrong with an animal you love, or the accessibility mission genuinely moves you. The best marketing for Omelo will come from someone who would actually use Omelo.
A fast, independent operator. We are pre-seed. We move in days, not quarters. You will have more ownership than any role at a bigger company and more ambiguity too. You turn that ambiguity into output without waiting to be told how.
What you should have done before
We care more about what you have made than where you have worked. But generally:
- 3+ years building growth or marketing at a consumer startup, ideally early stage
- A portfolio of work you made yourself โ content that performed, campaigns that converted, funnels that worked
- Hands-on experience across at least four of: content creation, paid acquisition, email lifecycle, landing page building, influencer marketing, ASO, analytics
- Examples of writing that sounds human, not corporate
- Bonus: you have grown something from near zero. A newsletter, a brand, a product, your own audience.
If you have grown your own audience to a meaningful size, that is often a stronger signal than years at a big company. Show us.
What this is not
- Not a role where you set strategy and others execute
- Not a role with an existing team and established playbooks
- Not a role for someone who needs structure handed to them
- Not a 9-to-5 with clear boundaries between your job and the next
This is a founding role at a company that is moving fast toward something that matters. It will be the hardest and most rewarding work of your career if you are the right person.
Why this role is worth leaving your current job for
You will own the entire growth story of a company with a genuinely unfair advantage โ a real clinical product, a founder story that converts, a mission that matters, and a market that nobody has cracked yet.
You will not be optimizing someone else's funnel. You will be building the brand from the ground up. The work you make in your first year here will define how the world meets Omelo.
And you will be doing it for a product that helps pet parents protect animals they love. The kind of work you are proud to put your name on.
How to apply
Do not send a generic cover letter. We will not read it.
Send us:
- Three things you have made that you are proud of. Links. Not descriptions.
- One paragraph on why Omelo specifically. Not why you want a growth job. Why this one.
- One idea for how you would grow Omelo. Specific. Something you would actually do in your first month.
Send it to amogh@beomelo.com with the subject line: I make things.
We read every application that follows these instructions. We respond to the ones that show us something real.
