Role Overview
As a Growth & AI Marketing Intern, you will own the end-to-end growth strategy for a specific learning category at Wiingy (e.g., Python tutoring, SAT prep). This is a high-ownership role where you will work directly with the VP of Growth to build scalable systems using LLMs and automation tools. You will drive visibility, engagement, and conversions across media, search, on-site experiences, and lifecycle marketing.
This is not a support role; you will be responsible for executing and scaling growth initiatives independently, using AI tools to achieve outcomes typically expected from larger teams.
What You’ll Work On
1. Programmatic PR
- Build systems to identify trending education topics and generate media-worthy story angles
- Use LLMs to create scalable PR pipelines for journalist outreach
- Design and execute high-volume, personalized email campaigns to media professionals
- Drive consistent media coverage across top-tier US publications
2. Category Go-To-Market (GTM)
- Own a specific learning category and define its growth strategy
- Map the full user funnel from awareness to conversion
- Identify drop-offs and design targeted interventions
- Build SEO, content, and outreach strategies to improve category dominance
3. Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
- Analyze student journeys across the website
- Identify friction points in the booking funnel
- Design and test improvements (landing pages, CTAs, personalization)
- Use AI to analyze user behavior data and generate optimization hypotheses
4. Lead Magnet Development
- Conceptualize and build interactive tools (e.g., quizzes, study planners, assessments)
- Use AI tools to develop and deploy these assets at scale
- Drive email capture, backlinks, and organic traffic
- Ensure tools provide real value while supporting growth objectives
5. User Reactivation
- Segment existing users based on behavior and engagement
- Build personalized re-engagement campaigns
- Automate lifecycle marketing workflows using AI tools
- Improve retention and reactivation metrics for existing users
Key Skills Required
Must Have:
- Strong proficiency in Python or JavaScript
- Hands-on experience with LLMs (prompting, chaining, agent workflows)
- Familiarity with tools like Claude API or similar AI systems
- Strong problem-solving and independent execution ability
- Interest in growth, marketing, and distribution systems
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automation tools like Zapier, Make, n8n, or Clay
- Exposure to outbound tools such as Apollo, Instantly, Lemlist
- Familiarity with CRM/email platforms (HubSpot, Mailchimp, etc.)
- Basic understanding of SQL and data analysis
- Knowledge of SEO, content strategy, or digital marketing
- Prior experience in startups, growth, or product roles
