Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.


We are seeking an Assistant Vice President, Product to support the development and management of investment solutions for our advisory and direct-to-consumer propositions. This role requires strong knowledge of investment products, market trends, and cross-functional collaboration to drive product innovation across diversified asset classes.


The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our investment platform, ensuring product competitiveness, and delivering solutions that cater to the evolving needs of clients.


Key Responsibilities:


Product Development & Management

  • Support the end-to-end lifecycle management of investment products, including mutual funds, model portfolios, and alternative asset classes.
  • Analyze market trends and client needs to contribute to the design of innovative investment solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with product governance and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in managing product pricing, cost structures, and profitability to drive financial impact.


Product Positioning & Sales Support

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote product understanding and drive adoption.
  • Conduct training sessions and presentations for front-line teams and distribution partners.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials and go-to-market strategies.
  • Work with external asset managers to align product positioning with macroeconomic insights.
  • Help create investment articles, thought leadership content, and market updates.


Stakeholder & Business Management

  • Coordinate with distribution, compliance, and operations teams to ensure effective product execution.
  • Liaise with external fund managers and product providers to curate compelling investment ideas.
  • Track product performance, adoption rates, and competitor offerings to refine product strategies.


Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in investment product management, portfolio solutions, or structured investments.
  • Strong understanding of both public and private market investments, with exposure to discretionary solutions and structured products.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in investment and wealth management.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate investment concepts into actionable insights for sales teams and clients.
  • Ability to contribute to the creation of investment-related content and educational materials.
  • Effective stakeholder management and organizational skills.
  • CFA, CAIA, or other relevant financial certifications preferred.
