Job Description – Group Product Manager
Home Page Management | Personalization | App Experience | On-App Communications | NPS Ownership
About the Role
We are looking for a highly customer-centric and data-driven Group Product Manager to lead the evolution of our app experience across Home Page Management, Personalization, On-App Communications, and Customer Experience KPIs.
This role will own the strategy, roadmap, execution, and optimization of the app’s core engagement layers, ensuring every user interaction is personalized, intuitive, and outcome-driven. The ideal candidate combines strong product thinking, experimentation mindset, analytics expertise, and cross-functional leadership to drive user engagement, retention, and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
Key Responsibilities
Home Page Management & Discovery Experience
- Own and drive the strategy for the app home page experience across user cohorts and journeys.
- Build scalable frameworks for dynamic content placement, recommendation systems, and contextual user experiences.
- Optimize key engagement metrics including CTR, session duration, repeat visits, conversion, and retention.
- Define and prioritize modules, widgets, banners, and personalized content surfaces.
- Partner with design and engineering teams to improve usability, navigation, and content discoverability.
Personalization & Customer Experience
- Lead personalization initiatives using behavioral, transactional, and contextual user data.
- Create segmentation strategies for lifecycle-based user journeys.
- Drive experimentation through A/B testing and recommendation engines.
- Work closely with Data Science and Analytics teams to improve targeting and relevance models.
- Build a highly personalized and seamless app experience that improves engagement and customer satisfaction.
On-App Communications & Push Notifications
- Own the end-to-end communication strategy across push notifications, in-app messages, nudges, banners, tooltips, and engagement campaigns.
- Improve notification relevance, timing, frequency, and conversion effectiveness.
- Develop intelligent engagement journeys aligned with business goals and customer lifecycle stages.
- Partner with CRM, Marketing, and Growth teams to optimize communication performance metrics.
- Ensure communications enhance user experience without causing fatigue or churn.
NPS & Customer Satisfaction Ownership
- Own and drive the Net Promoter Score (NPS) KPI across the app ecosystem.
- Analyze customer feedback, app reviews, surveys, and behavioral insights to identify pain points.
- Translate customer insights into product improvements and measurable business impact.
- Define frameworks for customer listening and feedback loops.
- Drive initiatives focused on improving overall customer delight, retention, and advocacy.
Product Leadership & Execution
- Define product vision, roadmap, success metrics, and execution plans.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Marketing, CRM, and Business teams.
- Drive product prioritization based on customer impact, business value, and data insights.
- Present product strategy, business cases, and performance updates to leadership stakeholders.
- Mentor and guide Product Managers within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10–14 years of Product Management experience, preferably in consumer internet, fintech, e-commerce, super apps, or high-scale mobile-first products.
- Strong experience in:
- Home page/product discovery management
- Personalization engines and recommendation systems
- Push notifications and engagement communication platforms
- Customer lifecycle management
- Mobile app experience optimization
- Proven ownership of engagement, retention, or NPS-related KPIs.
- Strong analytical and experimentation mindset with hands-on experience in A/B testing.
- Deep understanding of customer behavior, funnel analytics, and user engagement metrics.
- Experience working with Product Analytics tools such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, Clevertap, MoEngage, Firebase, etc.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and execution capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in AI-driven personalization and recommendation systems.
- Prior exposure to growth product management and lifecycle marketing.
- MBA from a premier institute preferred.
- Experience managing large-scale consumer-facing mobile applications.
