To provide Industrial and Process Engineering support to forward and reverse logistics, and testing of telecom related product ranges, to ensure production targets are met to agreed time, efficiency, cost and quality requirements are achieved. Responsible for determining most effective ways to create a product or service. Develops ways to increase productivity, maximize efficiency, and manage human capital more effectively.
The Industrial Engineering Intern will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing production and service delivery systems that assure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence and cost control within production sites. The IE Intern will adopt as its goals profitability, effectiveness, adaptability, responsiveness, quality, and the continuous improvement of products and services throughout their life cycles. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to analyze data sets to provide solutions benefiting the business. A strong emphasis will be placed on the candidates ability to execute times and motion studies and support continuous improvement efforts though the use of process flow mapping and Computer Aided Design.
Education/Certifications:
- HS Diploma
- 2+ years of College Courses completed
- Full Time Student
- Pursuing Industrial Engineering or similar technical degree
- Auto-Cad 2D or 3D or equivalent a plus.
Skills and Qualifications:
- The candidate should have written and verbal skills with core technical competencies
- An excellent understanding of measurement and engineering principles, and equipment
- An excellent understanding of Industrial Engineering principles and process knowledge
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project all necessary to manage objectives
