Job Responsibilities :
Pre-Construction
- Coordinating with the engineering team to plan the design and construction of project and reviewing contract documents to ensure compliance
- Working with Contracts Manager to resolve contract issues and maintain contract compliance for both owner-facing and subcontractor-facing agreements.
- Arranging directly or through subcontractors necessary site logistics: Site offices, connectivity, utilities connections, etc.
Construction and Commissioning:
- Issuing project progress reports and communicating proactively with management and other stakeholders
- Checking sub contractor#s progress reports and validating payment requests.
- Managing EHS records and ensuring completeness of project safety records.
- Enforcing Wind Plant#s quality control programs.
- Developing Project schedules for execution of the work within the project milestones
- Ensuring that all ongoing project records and logs are up to date and closed at the end of the project.
- Identify critical paths and activities
- Commissioning the project and turning it over to O&M Team.
Set up processes & mechanism for seamless interfaces among Projects, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Vendors, Contractors & Operations
Education Requirement :
- Necessary: Graduate from a reputed university/college, preferably from Electrical Engineering background
- Desirable: Post Graduate management degree/diploma in Project Management
Experience Requirement :
10+ years of experience is desirable
Skills & Competencies :
The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge in organization structure, policies and procedures, standard industry practices, quality standards & regulations
- Basic knowledge in important disciplines of engineering
- Knowledge (in context of Wind sector) of:
- Statutory clearances/approvals
- Standard project management
- Resource allocation and control techniques
- Time & cost estimating techniques
- Survey types and methodology
- Risk management, cost management and change management
