Job Description
Group Head – IT Operations & Infrastructure
Location: Mumbai, India
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and control-focused Group Head – IT Operations & Infrastructure to strengthen the organization’s IT environment in alignment with RBI regulations for NBFCs transitioning from Base Layer to Middle/Upper Layer classification.
This role will be critical in building robust, secure, and fully auditable IT operations, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365, identity & access governance, endpoint security, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Control Environment
- Lead day-to-day IT operations including Microsoft 365, endpoints, networks, and user support
- Establish standardized IT processes, controls, and documentation
- Ensure system availability, reliability, and traceability
- Strengthen IT helpdesk with SLAs and audit trails
Microsoft 365, Email Security & Access Governance
- Manage Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Implement IAM controls (RBAC, MFA, access reviews)
- Strengthen email security (anti-phishing, DLP, encryption)
- Ensure logging, monitoring, and auditability
RBI Compliance & Audit Readiness
- Ensure compliance with RBI IT framework and cybersecurity guidelines
- Build controls for ML/UL NBFC governance
- Lead readiness for audits and inspections
- Maintain policies, SOPs, and logs
Endpoint Security & Data Protection
- Implement endpoint management using Intune or similar
- Enforce encryption, patching, and endpoint security
- Deploy DLP controls
- Secure customer and financial data
Risk Management, BCP & DR
- Identify and mitigate IT risks
- Maintain BCP and DR frameworks
- Ensure backup and recovery readiness
Vendor & Outsourcing Governance
- Manage IT vendors and partners
- Ensure compliance with RBI outsourcing guidelines
- Monitor SLAs and performance
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
- 10–15+ years in IT operations in NBFC/banking/fintech
- Strong Microsoft 365 and Azure AD expertise
- Experience with RBI audits and compliance
- Understanding of ML/UL control environments
