Baat Man Ki is an innovative platform dedicated to building confidential, safe, and non-judgmental peer support spaces for men in India. Specializing in small, intimate group sessions with 6-8 participants, Baat Man Ki focuses on breaking the stigma surrounding men’s mental health. As one of the most underserved areas in India’s mental wellness space, men's emotional well-being is at the core of our mission. We aim to foster meaningful conversations and help men navigate their emotional health journey without fear of labels or judgment.
Role Description
We're looking for a psychologist or trained counsellor to join us as a Group Facilitator — someone who will co-design and lead our peer support group sessions.
This is a part-time, consulting role to start. Depending on fit and growth, there's scope to deepen the partnership.
You're a good fit if you:
- Hold a Masters in Psychology / Counselling
- Have experience facilitating group sessions (therapy groups, support groups, or similar)
- Care about men's mental health and understand the cultural barriers men in India face
- Are open to working with a startup at an early, scrappy stage
- Can commit to at least 2–4 sessions per month to start
What the role involves:
- Facilitating small-group support sessions (online, 60–90 mins each)
- Helping shape session structure, themes, and community guidelines
- Ensuring psychological safety and confidentiality within groups
- Collaborating with the founder on how the product evolves
Compensation
Per-session fee + revenue share model. Details discussed based on experience and commitment level.
Location:
Remote (sessions online). Based in India preferred.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills, including empathy, active listening, and effective communication
- Experience and adaptability in facilitating group discussions or workshops
- Background in mental health, counseling, coaching, or related fields is highly valued
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a non-judgmental attitude in sensitive discussions
- Familiarity with men’s mental wellness challenges, particularly in the Indian context
- Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive environments
- Availability for flexible, part-time hours
