The Role: Group Account Manager
As a Group Account Manager, you will step into a pivotal leadership role at ALÓ. You will oversee a portfolio of client accounts, leading a team of Account Managers and Executives to ensure accurate, timely, and commercially successful delivery of creative work.
This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and a natural relationship builder who can seamlessly balance high-level business development, client retention, and team mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio & Strategic Leadership: Lead a cluster of key accounts, building long-term business strategies to drive brand growth and commercial success for both clients and the agency.
- New Business Development: Actively approach potential clients through new leads, spearhead pitches, and craft compelling decks/presentations for new business opportunities.
- Financial & Revenue Management: Own the revenue and profit targets for your assigned group of accounts. Detail pricing, negotiate costs, and drive growth through up-selling and cross-selling consulting services.
- Team Mentorship & Operations: Guide, support, and mentor cross-functional team members (Planning, Creative, and Project teams). Identify opportunities to optimize internal agency processes and profitability.
- Creative Excellence & Briefing: Develop robust idea briefs rooted in research and market knowledge. Brief creative teams in an inspiring, concise manner and critique creative work with evidence-based opinions to ensure it aligns with client requirements.
- Client Relationship & Retention: Maintain exceptional, high-level relationships with executives in your portfolio, conducting regular reviews to ensure total client satisfaction.
- Media & Timeline Tracking: Ensure all media purchases are tracked and completed accurately, and all project deliverables strictly adhere to the scope of work and timelines.
- Brand Representation: Travel for client meets, attend trade shows, and participate in industry events to represent ALÓ.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 6–8 years of experience in the Advertising/Media Industry (Previous Media Agency experience is a strict must).
- Education: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Location: Must be currently residing in Mumbai (with easy commute access to Malad West).
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage, inspire, and collaborate with planning, creative, and project team members.
Communication Mastery: Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills. You should be an expert at building quick rapport and long-term trust.
