Senior Systems Engineer

The Senior Systems Engineer performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting Greenway's infrastructure business processes and operations and/or network-based (Cloud) product systems. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Hands-on experience with Microsoft, VMware tools & technologies and industry best practices. Performance analysis and tuning of VMware infrastructure. Creation, migration, cloning, snapshots, backup, recovery and troubleshooting of Virtual machines. Experience in P2V, V-Motion and VMware virtual center. Good hands-on command line of ESX. Good hands-on Experience in diagnostics & troubleshooting of ESX server environment. Good understanding of HA and DRS environment. Documentation on process & procedure Good to Have Skills: Advanced certifications related to Microsoft, VMware. Ability to adapt and knowledge to of hybrid environments (On prem & cloud). Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of AWS resources such as EC2 instances, S3 storage, RDS databases, Route 53 DNS services, IAM and subnet gateways. Contribution of migration of on-premises infrastructure to AWS cloud, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption. Optimize cloud resources and manage cloud-based applications for performance and cost-efficiency. . Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex cloud system issues. Maintain comprehensive and detailed documentation of cloud system configurations, changes, and procedures. Generate and present detailed reports on system performance, security, and compliance to stakeholders. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and improvement. Stay updated with the latest AWS technologies, industry trends, and best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance cloud infrastructure.
