What You’ll Do
The Service Apprentice is responsible for assisting technicians diagnose and repair a variety of HVAC and refrigeration systems while maintaining a superior level of customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to:
· Assist Service Technician in the following areas:
• Quoting system replacements as well as repair and maintenance prices
• Electronically recording labor, parts, etc. for work orders
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of van and company provided tools
• Responsible for maintaining truck stock
• Maintenance of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration units
• Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues
• Communicate with customers as well as with office staff
• Collect payments from customers and turn in to Accounts Receivable
• Ordering correct parts for jobs
• Direct system replacements
· Working out of town as needed
· Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities: (scope of the person’s authority, including a list of jobs that report to this job).
· No direct supervisory responsibilities
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma/ GED/ or relevant work experience
Some knowledge of HVAC units
Skill and Ability:
Expert level of verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to use significant independent judgment
Excellent time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
Schedule & Travel
Monday-Friday
Travel to jobsite(s) as needed
Physical & Work Conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Operate in open work areas with moderate noise
Operate in temperatures and weather of all seasons
