Role Description
As a GRC Specialist at KensaraAI, you will play a key role in driving compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA). This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Guwahati, with flexibility for some remote work. Your responsibilities will include conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIAs), managing compliance audits, drafting policies, and monitoring day-to-day compliance activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, assist in risk assessments, and provide strategic guidance on privacy best practices. Additionally, you will engage with clients to address compliance challenges, deliver training, and ensure ongoing support for DPDPA adherence.
Qualifications
- Data Protection and Compliance: Strong understanding of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) and expertise in regulatory compliance, data mapping, and audit processes.
- Policy and Risk Management: Experience in drafting policies, conducting risk assessments, privacy impact assessments (PIAs), and vendor risk evaluations.
- Project and Client Management: Proven ability to handle multiple projects, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and provide exceptional client support.
- Analytical and Research Skills: Proficiency in analyzing compliance risks, conducting in-depth research, and devising effective strategies for adherence to data protection laws.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to work with AI-powered tools, data protection platforms, and other compliance-related technologies.
- Additional Qualifications: CISSP, CIPP/E, or other relevant certifications are a plus, along with prior experience in SaaS, fintech, or healthtech companies.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in law, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field is preferred.
