Public Affairs Senior Consultant – Healthcare and Agri-Food

The global Public Affairs and Communications Consultancy, Grayling, is looking to bolster its current EU Public Affairs team by hiring an experienced Senior Consultant to grow its Agri-food and Healthcare practice.

The day to day;

Under the guidance of the Head of Agri-Food and Health and Account Directors, the Senior Consultant will:

• Provide expert strategic public affairs advice to clients, ensuring alignment with EU regulatory and policy developments.
• Manage client accounts and small projects, ensuring high-quality delivery and client satisfaction.
• Conduct policy analysis and stakeholder mapping to identify emerging trends and risks for clients.
• Liaise with key external stakeholders, including EU institutions, trade associations, and industry influencers.
• Represent Grayling at public affairs events, forums, and industry conferences.
• Support business development efforts, contributing to proposals, pitches, and marketing initiatives.
• Lead and contribute to the development of thought leadership content and strategic insights.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to develop integrated public affairs and communications strategies.
  
  

About You

• Minimum 3 years' experience in public affairs (excluding internships).
• A strong understanding of EU policies and institutions.
• Expertise in EU Health and Food policies, gained through experience in an EU institution, consultancy, trade association, or in-house role.
• Excellent communication skills, including writing, speaking, and presenting.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Be a team player with a hands-on, solutions-driven attitude.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong professional relationships.
• Be fluent in English (fluency in additional EU languages is a plus).
