Job Summary/Description:

Streaming content is key for WTOC as we navigate a changing viewer landscape. This role will be responsible for coordinating content across all digital platforms, including streaming apps, social media, and the website.

A successful candidate in this role will be a relentless advocate for our streaming platforms. They will work closely with newsroom staff to gather content tied to the local news cycle, reach out to community partners to solicit content relevant to our audience, and develop new programming.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

- Maintaining the content schedule for WTOC+ primary and secondary livestreams
- Working with newsroom staff to collect content for livestreams
- Coordinating daily content schedule for WTOC+
- Training staff on using the streaming set
- Primary liaison with other Gray stations on content sharing for streaming platforms
- Prepares Gray syndicated content for air on WTOC+ streaming platforms
- Able to appear on camera for breaking news livestreams as needed
- Post content daily to WTOC platforms
- Assist news staff in crafting engaging and in-depth articles for WTOC.com

Qualifications/Requirements:

- 2-3 years in a working newsroom preferred
- Knowledge of popular streaming platforms like YouTube, Roku, etc
- Proficiency with video editing software like Edius, Adobe Premiere
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to work weekends and evenings as needed for streaming coverage
