About the Role:
We are a fast-growing startup looking for a versatile, creative, and agile Graphic Designer & Video Editor to own our visual identity across digital platforms. This isn't just about executing templates; you will be the visual storyteller of our brand.
If you have a sharp eye for aesthetics, can turn complex concepts into engaging social media assets, and know how to edit high-retention short-form and long-form videos, you’ll fit right in. You will work closely with the founding and marketing teams to brainstorm, create, and ship content at a startup pace.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Video Production & Editing
- Short-Form Content: Edit highly engaging, fast-paced videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn (hooks, pacing, transitions, sound design, and dynamic captions).
- Long-Form Content: Edit product walkthroughs, brand stories, interviews, or explainer videos.
- Audio Optimization: Handle basic sound mixing, leveling, and choosing the right background tracks or sound effects (SFX) to elevate video impact.
- Color Grading: Ensure visual consistency, correct lighting issues, and maintain a premium look across all video assets.
2. Graphic & Visual Design
- Social Media Assets: Design high-converting carousels, static posts, banners, and infographics for LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and Instagram.
- Brand Collateral: Assist in creating compelling pitch decks, presentation templates, newsletter graphics, and digital ad creatives.
- Thumbnails: Craft high-click-through-rate (CTR) thumbnails for YouTube and other video platforms.
- Brand Consistency: Maintain and evolve our brand identity (fonts, color palettes, and overall visual tone) across all channels.
3. Strategy & Collaboration
- Brainstorm fresh content ideas, visual hooks, and design concepts with the team.
- Keep up with current internet culture, design movements, and trending audio/video formats to keep our content relevant.
- Manage asset libraries, ensuring project files are organized and easily accessible.
Skills & Qualifications:
- The Toolkit: Video: Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or CapCut (Desktop)/DaVinci Resolve.
- Design: Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Motion Graphics: Ability to create clean text animations, lower thirds, and smooth transitions that keep viewers hooked.
- Speed & Autonomy: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, iterate quickly based on feedback, and manage multiple micro-projects simultaneously.
- Attention to Detail: An eye for typography, layout, alignment, and color theory. You notice when something is 2 pixels off.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Graphics, Graphic Design, and creating visual assets
- Experience in Logo Design and Branding
- Knowledge of Typography and applying design principles effectively
- Creative thinking and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work remotely and meet deadlines
- Familiarity with video editing is a plus
- Experience in EdTech or education-focused projects is advantageous
