Role Description The Graphic Designer Faculty is a full-time, on-site role based at the TVM campus. This role involves planning and delivering classes in graphic design, covering core concepts such as visual communication, branding, logo design, and typography. The faculty member will develop curriculum materials, assignments, and projects that reflect current industry standards and emerging design trends, guiding learners through both foundational and advanced design techniques. Daily responsibilities include reviewing student work, providing constructive feedback, mentoring learners on portfolio development, and integrating real-world briefs and tools into classroom activities. The role also includes collaborating with other faculty on interdisciplinary projects, participating in academic planning, and supporting institutional initiatives that enhance student employability.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Graphics and Graphic Design, with the ability to teach visual principles and design workflows effectively.
- Demonstrated expertise in Logo Design and Branding, including brand identity development and visual systems creation.
- Proficiency in Typography, type selection, layout, and hierarchy for both print and digital media.
- Advanced skills in industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, or equivalent tools).
- Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience in design education or a related creative discipline is highly beneficial.
- Portfolio showcasing professional design work across multiple media formats (digital, print, social, branding campaigns).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse learners and support practical, project-based learning.
- Interest in current design trends, digital marketing concepts, and the integration of AI tools within design workflows is an added advantage.
