Job Description
We are Urgently looking for a Graphic Designer to create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media. The Graphic Designer job description includes the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including Reels, illustrations, logos, layouts, artworks, etc. You will be the one to shape the visual aspects of websites, books, magazines, product packaging, exhibitions and much more. Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message. For this, you need to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design.
The work demands creativity and up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
Graphic Designer duties and responsibilities:
- Study design briefs and determine requirements
- Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas
- Develop illustrations, logos and other design artworks
- Use the appropriate colours and layouts for each graphic
- Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design
- Test graphics across various media
- Amend designs after feedback
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
- Are confident, creative and able to work with various aesthetic styles.
- Graphic Design to create commercial quality artwork
- Are the owner of an amazing creative folio
- Experience in business stationery like business card, letterhead, envelops, compliments, flyer (A4,A5,DL, etc.)
- A variety of projects including packaging design, point of sale, marketing & advertising material including catalogues and press ads
Graphic Designer requirements and qualifications:
- Proven graphic designing experience
- A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
- Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as Adobe suite, After effects, motion graphics, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc)
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
- Degree in Design, Fine Arts or related field is a plus
- Strong graphic design, Analytics and Layout skills
- Ability to produce 3–5 finished creatives a day while keeping quality consistent
- Comfortable taking revisions and working to deadlines
- Attention to detail and deadline oriented
- Time-management skills and Communication skills
- Handles rejection
- Reels editing in Premiere Pro, After Effects or CapCut
Nice to have
- InDesign for brochures and catalogues
- Figma or Adobe XD for website mockups
- AI tools such as Adobe Firefly, Midjourney or ChatGPT in your workflow
- Experience designing for Australian or international clients
