About The Role
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Graphic Designer with a specialized focus on signage bid preparation for U.S.-based projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in interpreting architectural drawings and bid documents to develop compliant and competitive signage proposals. This role requires a thorough understanding of U.S. signage standards, including ADA, IBC, and local city codes, and the ability to translate project specifications into effective design concepts. The Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with estimation, sales, and production teams to ensure accurate bid submissions, timely delivery, and alignment with client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, contribute to innovative signage solutions, and grow within a dynamic organization committed to excellence.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field. A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in signage design and bid/tender preparation, particularly for U.S. projects, is essential. Candidates should demonstrate a strong knowledge of signage systems such as wayfinding, ADA signage, and exterior signage, along with familiarity with U.S. regulations including ADA guidelines for accessibility. Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDRAW is required. Additionally, the ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings with accuracy, coupled with excellent attention to detail and deadline management skills, is crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role include reviewing and interpreting U.S. project drawings, RFPs, BOQs, and bid packages to ensure comprehensive understanding of project requirements. Preparing detailed signage bid submissions that include layouts, message schedules, and specifications aligned with client needs and project standards. Developing innovative design concepts that adhere to brand guidelines and project specifications. Ensuring all signage proposals comply with relevant U.S. standards such as ADA, IBC, and local codes, and maintaining consistent documentation and version control for all bids. Collaborating with estimation, sales, and production teams to facilitate accurate bid submissions and supporting the estimation process by preparing take-offs and assisting with quantity estimation when needed. Revising designs and proposals based on client feedback to ensure satisfaction and compliance. Maintaining organized records of all bid-related documentation and fostering effective communication across departments to meet project deadlines.
