Job details:
NextBit Health is a UK-registered healthcare consulting company (Company No. 17097041) that works with private clinics across the United Kingdom on CQC compliance, patient growth, AI integration, and operational improvement. We are based in the UK with a working team in Bangalore.
We are looking for a Graphic Designer and Creative Generalist to join us as an intern from our Bangalore workspace.
Before you read further, here is what you need to know upfront:
This is an unpaid internship. We will not dress that up or hide it in the small print. It is unpaid. What you get instead is described honestly below, and you can decide whether the trade-off makes sense for you.
The role:
You will be the person responsible for how NextBit Health looks to the outside world. That means designing social media content for LinkedIn and Instagram that represents a UK healthcare brand, not a generic startup. It means building pitch decks that go in front of real clinic owners and NHS decision-makers. It means creating website visuals, marketing materials, brand collateral, and presentation templates that need to feel clean, trustworthy, and professional.
You will not be given a brief and left alone. You will work directly with the founder on every piece of work. You will get honest feedback, creative freedom within brand guidelines, and the chance to shape the visual identity of a company from its earliest stage.
Sometimes you will be asked to step outside pure design. A quick edit to website copy. A layout suggestion for a document. A visual concept for a campaign. We are a small team and everyone contributes beyond their title. If that excites you, keep reading. If you want a narrowly defined role with no flexibility, this is not the right fit.
What you need:
A portfolio that shows clean, modern design work. Personal projects, freelance work, college projects, anything that demonstrates your eye and your skill. We care about quality, not credentials. Comfort with design tools like Figma, Canva Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar. You do not need all of them, but you need to be genuinely good with at least one. An understanding that healthcare branding is not the same as consumer branding. We need design that builds trust, not design that shouts for attention. Reliability. This matters more than talent. If you say you will deliver something by Thursday, we need it by Thursday. The ability to work from our Bangalore workspace three days per week. This is not negotiable.
What you get in return:
Real portfolio work from a live UK healthcare company, not hypothetical briefs or made-up projects. Direct mentorship and creative collaboration with the founder. A professional reference letter on completion that you can use for future roles. Genuine exposure to UK healthcare consulting, compliance, and B2B marketing. First consideration for a paid role if the business grows and the internship goes well. We cannot guarantee that, but we can guarantee that strong performers will be the first people we hire.
Working arrangement:
This is a hybrid role. You will work from our Bangalore workspace three days per week. The specific days will be agreed together. The remaining days are flexible for remote work. We chose this structure because creative work is better when people are in the same room. Feedback is faster, ideas flow more naturally, and working relationships build stronger when you are not always behind a screen.
Hours: approximately 15 to 25 hours per week. We will work around your college schedule or other commitments where possible, but the three on-site days are a firm requirement.
Duration: 3 months initially. Extensions and paid transitions are possible based on performance and business growth, but not promised.
How to apply:
Email hello@nextbithealth.co.uk with your portfolio link (Behance, Dribbble, personal site, or a PDF) and a short note telling us why this role interests you and when you can start. Keep it simple and direct. We read every application.
