About Kanasu
Kanasu is a premium silk and sleep/lifestyle brand inspired by the intersection of LA lifestyle and Indian craftsmanship.
Our visual world is an important part of how people experience Kanasu. From social media and packaging to campaigns and digital touchpoints, we're building a brand that feels considered, contemporary, tactile, and distinctive.
We're looking for a designer who wants to help shape that world.
About the Role
We are looking for a Graphic Design Intern with a strong visual eye, good fundamentals, and an interest in contemporary brand design.
You'll work across social media, digital campaigns, e-commerce, print, and brand communication.
Rather than simply executing templates, you'll be encouraged to think about composition, typography, imagery, storytelling, and how every creative contributes to a coherent brand identity.
What You'll Do
- Design social media posts, carousels, Stories, campaign assets, promotional creatives, and other digital content.
- Help translate briefs and ideas into visually strong, brand-consistent designs.
- Develop layouts, typography systems, graphic treatments, and compositions for campaigns.
- Assist with website and e-commerce graphics, banners, product communication, and launch assets.
- Create moodboards, visual references, campaign explorations, and presentation decks.
- Participate in creative reviews and iterate based on feedback.
- Explore new visual directions while maintaining consistency with the Kanasu identity.
We're Looking For
- Strong fundamentals in typography, layout, composition, hierarchy, and colour.
- A good understanding of contemporary visual culture and branding.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Ability to translate a concept or brief into a polished visual output.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to receive feedback and iterate quickly.
- Good organisational and file-management habits.
Good to Have
- Experience with Figma.
- Basic motion graphics or video editing skills.
- Understanding of print and packaging design.
- Interest in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, wellness, editorial, or premium consumer brands.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted creative workflows.
What We Care About
Your portfolio matters more than your degree.
We're particularly interested in seeing how you think about typography, layouts, campaigns, visual systems, editorial design, social content, packaging, or brand identity.
Personal projects and self-initiated work are welcome.
What You'll Learn
You'll get hands-on experience working on a growing consumer brand where design isn't treated as decoration; it is part of the product and brand experience.
You'll have opportunities to contribute to real campaigns, social content, launches, packaging, e-commerce, shoots, and brand-building initiatives.
Who Should Apply
Design students, recent graduates, and early-career designers from Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Communication or related creative disciplines are encouraged to apply.
A portfolio or relevant work samples are required with the application.
