Kads Waste Management Private Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Grant Writer to join our development team. In this role, you will research funding opportunities, craft compelling grant proposals, and manage relationships with funders to support our mission of community-driven social impact.
You will work closely with program leads, finance, and senior leadership to develop narratives that align our work with funder priorities and report on outcomes to sustain and grow funding partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify grant opportunities from foundations, government bodies, and corporate giving programs
- Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and reports
- Maintain a grants calendar and ensure all deadlines are met
- Collaborate with program and finance teams to gather data, budgets, and impact metrics
- Track grant compliance requirements and prepare timely funder reports
- Build and maintain a library of reusable proposal language, boilerplates, and case studies
- Support donor stewardship and communicate funding outcomes to stakeholders
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of grant writing or fundraising experience, preferably in the waste management or climate action sector
- Demonstrated track record of successful grant proposals (please share examples or portfolio)
- Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to translate complex program information into clear, persuasive narratives
- Proficiency with MS Office / Google Workspace
Preferred
- Experience with grant databases (e.g., GrantFinder, India CSR portal, Foundation Directory)
- Familiarity with CSR funding and government grant cycles in India
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Social Work, or a related field
