This flexible approach gives team members the best of both worlds: plenty of focus time along with in-person collaboration that helps foster trust, innovation, and a strong team culture. About Grammarly Grammarly is the world's leading AI writing assistance company trusted by over 40 million people and 50,000 organizations. From instantly creating a first draft to perfecting every message, Grammarly helps people at 96% of the Fortune 500 and teams at companies like Atlassian, Databricks, and Zoom get their point across—and get results—with best-in-class security practices that keep data private and protected. Founded in 2009, Grammarly is No. 14 on the Forbes Cloud 100, one of TIME's 100 Most Influential Companies, one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in AI, and one of Inc.'s Best Workplaces. The Opportunity To achieve our ambitious goals, we're looking for an iOS Engineer to join our Clients team. This role focuses on one of our most technically sophisticated and widely used surfaces: the Grammarly Keyboard and iOS Companion App. This is a high-impact opportunity to build user-facing experiences and infrastructure that power writing assistance for millions of users. You'll be part of a deeply collaborative, cross-functional team that owns the full product experience—from input to output. Grammarly's engineers have the freedom to innovate and influence our product roadmap. The complexity of our technical challenges is growing rapidly as we extend support across surfaces and integrate web-powered UI through our Inkwell platform. You can hear more from our team on our technical blog. As an iOS Engineer, you will: Contribute to Grammarly's custom iOS keyboard and companion app, tackling challenges around text input, layout rendering, system integrations, and accessibility. Own and enhance CI/CD pipelines, testing infrastructure, and quality-of-life tools that enable smooth developer and release workflows. Lead or contribute to feature development, performance improvements, and experimentation. Partner closely with QA, Design, and Product to ensure high-quality experiences on all iOS devices. Guide and mentor newcomers through a highly structured onboarding process that includes deep dives into our architecture, history, and design decisions. Within your first 30 days, you will: Complete our onboarding program, including deep technical sessions, team shadowing, and pairing. Explore our modular architecture, testing pipelines, and monitoring systems. Make your first code contributions—starting with tooling or documentation and progressing to production features. Within your first 90 days, you will: Lead a small feature or infrastructure initiative. Drive improvements to our onboarding or code quality processes based on your experience. Engage in cross-platform work or experiments as we continue to unify feature development with Inkwell.
