About the role

As a Data Engineer at Grammarly, you'll work closely with the Data Science and Analytics teams to build and maintain scalable data pipelines, analytics infrastructure, and real-time data processing systems. You'll play a key role in empowering Grammarly's data-driven decisions and powering the AI that enables Grammarly's industry-leading writing assistant. Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and infrastructure to ingest, process, and store data from a variety of sources - Develop and optimize data models, data transformation workflows, and data quality processes - Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and secure - Proactively identify opportunities to improve data architecture, scalability, and performance - Drive the adoption of best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance data engineering capabilities - Mentor and guide junior data engineers to help them grow their skills Requirements: - 3+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role - Proficient in Python, SQL, and data engineering tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Airflow, Snowflake, BigQuery) - Experience in building and maintaining scalable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance data pipelines - Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes - Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams - Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest data engineering trends and technologies
