Director, Observability Architect (Remote, USA)

Grafana Labs is seeking a talented Director, Observability Architect to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of observability experts, driving the technical strategy and execution of our observability solutions, and helping our customers achieve their observability goals. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team of observability architects and engineers to design and implement observability solutions for our customers - Collaborate with product management, engineering, and customer success teams to understand customer needs and translate them into technical requirements - Evangelize observability best practices and advocate for Grafana solutions within the broader observability community - Stay up-to-date with the latest observability trends and technologies, and identify opportunities for innovation - Mentor and develop the technical skills of your team members - Contribute to the overall technical direction and roadmap of Grafana's observability solutions Required Skills and Experience: - 10+ years of experience in observability, software engineering, or a related field - Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing technical teams - Deep understanding of observability concepts, tools, and technologies (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Jaeger, Zipkin) - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills - Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions - Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the observability space
