Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic, disciplined, and career-oriented Graduate Engineer Trainees (GET) and Diploma Engineer Trainees (DET) to join our manufacturing team. The selected candidates will undergo structured on-the-job training to gain practical exposure in Production, Quality, Maintenance, Process Engineering, and Lean Manufacturing.
The trainees will learn manufacturing processes, quality systems, safety practices, and continuous improvement methodrologies while contributing to daily plant operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
Production
- Learn wire harness manufacturing processes and assembly operations.
- Assist in achieving daily production targets.
- Monitor production activities and report abnormalities.
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Quality
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections.
- Identify defects and support corrective actions.
- Follow quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Maintain quality records and documentation.
Process Improvement
- Participate in Kaizen, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Continuous Improvement activities.
- Assist in reducing process waste and improving productivity.
- Support implementation of process improvements.
Maintenance Support
- Assist in preventive maintenance activities.
- Report machine breakdowns and abnormalities.
- Ensure proper usage of machines and equipment.
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) guidelines.
- Use PPE as per company requirements.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness following 5S practices.
- Comply with company policies and quality management systems.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily production and quality records.
- Prepare basic reports using MS Excel.
- Update check sheets and production documents accurately.
Team Coordination
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and Stores departments.
- Participate in training sessions and skill development programs.
- Support supervisors in daily operational activities.
Candidate Requirements & Skills
- Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals.
- Willingness to learn manufacturing processes.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work in shifts.
- Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, Quality Tools, and Safety practices will be an added advantage.
