Sandfits Foundries Private Limited is a pre-eminent iron casting manufacturing company that produces Grey Iron, Ductile Iron, CG Iron, and AD Iron. Sandfits has 3 foundries with a capacity of 60000 tons PA. Sandfits has a dedicated machine shop to deliver precision iron components to customers worldwide. Sandfits Foundries are located in and around Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India and has a certified IATF 16949 and ISO 14001.
The Role
The Trainee Engineer will undergo hands-on technical training across various foundry departments. This role is designed to bridge the gap between academic engineering principles and real-world shop floor management, preparing the trainee for a long-term professional role in foundry operations, quality control, or process methoding.
Key Responsibilities
Cross-Departmental Rotation: Undergo structured learning across key areas: Pattern Shop, Core Shop, Molding, Melting, Fettling, and Quality Labs.
Shop-Floor Supervision: Assist in shift coordination, working with operators and technicians to meet production and pouring targets.
Process Parameter Monitoring: Track and document critical variables, including pouring temperatures, sand properties, and chemical composition.
Quality & Defect Analysis: Support senior engineers in identifying casting defects, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and updating quality logs.
5S & Safety Compliance: Promote a zero-accident workspace by strictly implementing shop-floor safety protocols and 5S standards.
Qualification
B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Production Engineering - 2026 Batch is preferred. Annual Compensation will be ₹ 300,000
