Role Description The Grade 5 Homeroom Teacher will lead a mixed-ability classroom, plan and deliver engaging lessons, and support students’ academic and social-emotional development. Daily responsibilities include designing and implementing age-appropriate learning activities, assessing student progress, maintaining records, and providing regular feedback to learners and families. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum, participate in school events, and contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment aligned with international education standards. Additional duties include classroom management, supervising students during school hours, and integrating technology and inquiry-based learning into lessons. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Candor International School in Bengaluru South.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Elementary Education skills, with demonstrated experience guiding upper-primary students.
- Candidates should possess Curriculum Development and Education skills, including the ability to design and adapt lesson plans aligned with international frameworks (Cambridge/IB preferred).
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for interacting with students, families, and colleagues in a multicultural environment.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; formal teacher training or certification is highly beneficial.
- Experience in international schools or inquiry-based, student-centered learning environments is an advantage.
- Ability to create an inclusive, safe, and engaging classroom, with strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Comfort with integrating educational technology and differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
