Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Government Relations Specialist. The individual in this role will engage with government officials, policymakers, and industry leaders to foster relationships and further organizational objectives. Key responsibilities will include developing and executing government relations strategies, monitoring regulatory and policy developments, drafting communications or policy briefs, and representing WSC at meetings and events. The specialist will work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to identify strategic opportunities and advocate for issues relevant to global diplomacy and international partnerships.
Qualifications
- Experience in Governmental Affairs and Government Relations, with a strong understanding of policy-making processes.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for conveying complex information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Background in Government and Public Affairs, with experience managing stakeholder engagement and advocacy initiatives.
- Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships across multi-sector industries and international contexts.
- Strong analytical and research skills to assess policies, trends, and their potential implications.
- An understanding of global economic, diplomatic, and trade dynamics is highly advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Administration, or a related field (advanced degrees are a plus).
- Ability to travel occasionally for conferences, meetings, or events, as required by the role.
