Join Us in Transforming LivesEducate Girls is an award-winning non-profit working to ensure that every girl in India's rural and educationally marginalized communities has access to quality education. In 2025, Educate Girls became the first Indian organization to receive the Ramon Magsaysay Award, Asia's highest honor.
Since 2007, we have partnered with state governments and local communities to identify out-of-school girls, support their enrollment and retention, and strengthen foundational learning. With a network of over 55,000 community volunteers, we have enrolled over 20 lakh girls across 30,000 villages.
Our Vision: Impacting 10 Million LearnersOver the next 10 years, we aim to scale our impact through three core pillars:
- Vidya (Back-to-School): Identifying out-of-school girls (ages 6-14) and strengthening foundational learning in government schools.
- Pragati (Second Chance): A village-based learning camp for adolescent girls and young women (ages 15–29) to earn Grade 10 certifications via State Open Schools.
- Technical Assistance Units (TAUs): Partnering with governments in 12 states to strengthen open schooling systems and improve educational access.

Key Responsibilities- Strategic Advocacy: Build long-term partnerships with key government stakeholders and education officials.
- Policy Alignment: Ensure programs comply with national frameworks and state-level policy guidelines.
- Relationship Management: Maintain consistent dialogue with bureaucrats and local authorities to facilitate smooth implementation.
- Impact Monitoring: Advocate for the inclusion of marginalized girls in state-level education agendas.
Qualifications & Skills- Experience: Proven track record in government liaison or partnership development.
- Sector Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Indian education system and government social schemes.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and execute collaboration strategies.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder engagement and reporting skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Policy, Social Work, Education, or a related field.
- Background: Experience in the non-profit or development sector is highly preferred.
