Operating over 40 cafes across prominent locations like Bengaluru, Mumbai, Lucknow Airport, and corporate spaces, our mission is to create sustainable livelihood opportunities. Our initiatives include MITTI Café, run by persons with disabilities, experiential training programs, MITTI Karuna Meals providing meals to underserved communities, and MITTI Good Gifts showcasing products by marginalized communities. To date, we’ve served millions of meals and garnered global recognition, including awards from Forbes, UN, and NITI Aayog, for our impactful and inclusive work.


Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Gourmet Chef role based in Bengaluru. The Gourmet Chef will be responsible for designing and preparing innovative menus, maintaining high culinary standards, and ensuring food quality and presentation. Key duties include managing kitchen operations, training team members, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, sourcing quality ingredients, and collaborating closely with the management team to uphold MITTI Café’s commitment to inclusiveness and excellence in service.


Qualifications

  • Proven culinary skills, including proficiency in preparing a diverse range of dishes (burger, pizza, pasta etc) and experimenting with new recipes.
  • Experience in menu planning, food plating, and presentation.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills to manage kitchen staff and train team members effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards with the ability to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Passion for social impact and inclusivity, with an understanding or experience working with marginalized communities.
  • Effective communication and team collaboration abilities to foster an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
  • A degree or certification in culinary arts is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Flexibility to adapt recipes and methods to accommodate diverse dietary needs and preferences.
