<br>General Manager<br><br>Cades Cove Jeep Outpost – Townsend, Tennessee<br><br>Position Overview<br>The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and performance of the Cades Cove Jeep Outpost retail location. This role is focused on driving sales, managing a strong team, maintaining the right inventory levels, and ensuring the store operates efficiently and profitably at all times.<br><br>This is not a sit-back role. The right person is hands-on, leads from the front, understands retail numbers, and takes ownership of the store as if it were their own.<br><br>⸻<br><br>Key Responsibilities<br><br>Team Leadership & Culture<br><br>Hire, train, schedule, and manage store staff<br>Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable<br>Create a positive, high-energy environment focused on customer experience<br>Lead by example on the sales floor<br><br>Inventory & Merchandising<br><br>Keep the store fully stocked on top-selling products<br>Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstock and dead inventory<br>Identify trends and reorder winning items quickly<br>Work closely with ownership/vendors to maintain product flow<br>Ensure the store is visually clean, organized, and merchandised to sell<br><br>Financial Performance<br><br>Manage payroll to stay within target percentages of sales<br>Balance staffing levels with traffic and seasonality<br>Track sales performance and adjust strategy as needed<br>Protect margins by controlling waste, shrink, and unnecessary spending<br><br>Operations<br><br>Oversee daily store operations including opening/closing procedures<br>Ensure excellent customer service at all times<br>Handle customer issues quickly and professionally<br>Maintain store standards, cleanliness, and organization<br><br>⸻<br><br>What Success Looks Like<br><br>The store is consistently stocked with best-selling items<br>Minimal overstock and little to no dead inventory<br>Payroll stays in line with sales volume<br>Strong, reliable team that doesn’t require constant oversight<br>Sales continue to grow through smart merchandising and leadership<br><br>⸻<br><br>Qualifications<br><br>Retail management experience (required)<br>Strong understanding of inventory management and sales trends<br>Proven ability to manage payroll and control costs<br>Leadership mindset with the ability to motivate a team<br>Organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven<br>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, seasonal retail environment<br><br>⸻<br><br>Compensation<br><br>Competitive salary (based on experience)<br>Performance-based incentives tied to store profitability and sales<br>Opportunity for growth within a growing brand<br><br>⸻<br><br>Final Note<br><br>This role is for someone who takes pride in running a tight operation.
