goSTOPS, a leading company operated hostel brand is looking to expand its presence in India. With 35+ locations currently across India, we are looking to add another 60+ properties by the end of 2026. The properties we are looking for would be licensed budget to mid-range hotels or resorts with 20-50 air conditioned ensuite rooms. We are looking for a supply manager who would be able to tap into their existing network of brokers & consultants, qualify the leads and hold preliminary discussions with the property owners. The role would be based out of our office in Delhi and would require a fair bit of travel mainly in North India to assess properties on a preliminary basis.
About Role -
As a Multi-Skilled Technician at GoStops Hostels, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our hostel facilities. You will be responsible for performing a variety of technical tasks, ranging from repairs and maintenance to troubleshooting and facility management. This position requires a versatile individual with a broad range of skills and the ability to adapt to different situations and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of hostel facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building repairs.
2. Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose technical issues related to hostel equipment, appliances, and infrastructure, and implement appropriate solutions in a timely manner.
3. Facility Management: Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the hostel, ensuring a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests. This includes monitoring and maintaining essential systems such as fire safety, security, and energy management.
4. Equipment and Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts. Coordinate with the management team to ensure an adequate supply of materials for repairs and maintenance.
5. Guest Assistance: Provide prompt and effective assistance to guests in resolving technical issues, ensuring their satisfaction and comfort during their stay at the hostel.
6. Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance tasks, ensuring quality work and adherence to established timelines.
7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing. Prepare reports as required by the management team.
8. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, regulations, and industry standards while performing maintenance and repair tasks. Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate preventive measures.
Qualifications and Skills:
● High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
● Proven experience as a multi-skilled technician, maintenance technician, or similar role.
● Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
● Proficiency in troubleshooting technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
● Familiarity with fire safety, security, and energy management systems is a plus.
● Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
● Strong organizational and time management skills.
● Ability to work independently and in a team.
● Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required.
