Administrative Assistant – Human Resources (Temporary)

About the Position:
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: HR Director
Supervises: N/A
Purpose:
Provides administrative support to the Human Resources department, with a primary focus on organizing, digitizing, and maintaining employee records to support the transition to electronic file systems. This is a temporary, part-time position expected to continue until the completion of the employee file digitization project.
Responsibilities:
- Organizes and reviews employee personnel files for accuracy and completeness
- Scans and uploads documents into electronic filing systems
- Ensures proper labeling, indexing, and storage of digital files
- Maintains confidentiality and security of sensitive employee information
- Assists with filing, sorting, and organizing physical documents
- Performs data entry and basic recordkeeping tasks
- Supports general administrative needs of the HR department as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to operate office equipment such as scanners and copiers
- Effective time management skills and ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to sit, stand, and bend for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and move light materials (up to approximately 25 pounds)
- Repetitive use of hands for computer and scanning work
