Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in a project/program management, consulting, or client facing role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business operations, program management, or a similar role in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience in process analysis, operational modeling, and identifying opportunities for efficiency and optimization.
  • Experience working within or closely with large-scale operational environments.
  • Ability to work autonomously within a global, cross-functional environment leading multiple programs concurrently, and translate data and insights into strategies, business cases, and operational improvements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience influencing and managing relationships with stakeholders, including executives.

The Google Operations Center (GOC) Strategy and Operations team is a critical driver of success. We help define and execute the Google Operations Center's strategic outlook, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure operational excellence in a fast-paced, global environment. We are a highly collaborative and data-driven team.

This role offers a unique opportunity at Google to operate at the intersection of strategy, operations, and analytics within the rapidly evolving Google Operations Center. You will have a distinct platform to exercise thought leadership and business judgment, directly shaping and executing high-impact projects that drive operational excellence. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $137,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Drive complex strategic programs and high-impact projects from concept to successful delivery. Define objectives, scope, and roadmaps, demonstrating strong problem-solving and program management.
  • Develop and deliver compelling, data-driven narratives, insights, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. Synthesize complex analyses and operational dynamics into clear, influential communications that inform key decisions.
  • Build strong, collaborative partnerships with stakeholders. Influence outcomes by driving consensus, navigating complex dependencies, and supporting change initiatives.
  • Employ analysis and strategic foresight to identify opportunities, diagnose challenges, and formulate strategies for operational excellence and resource optimization. Be a thought partner, balancing detailed analysis with a holistic view to align operations with GOC goals.
  • Drive improvement through significant contributions to strategic planning, leading critical Objectives and Key Results (OKR) life cycle aspects, and supporting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for strategic alignment and operational effectiveness.
