Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Go, Java, C/C++, or Python), or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage, or hardware architecture.
- Experience working in a cloud computing environment (e.g., infrastructure, storage, platforms or data).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in C++ and Java.
- Experience with distributed databases and database internals.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$202,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
- Write product or system development code.
- Participate in design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.
- Design and implement features in the Firestore Backend with C++, Java, and Kotlin.
- Follow and advocate for engineering best practices for building highly reliable, performant, distributed cloud databases.
